ERGO Open Source Consortium Talk at NZSEE 2013

Christchurch in the wake of the February 2011 earthquake.

Sonia Giovinazzi (University of Canterbury), Helmut Wenzel, Danny Powell, and Jong Lee (both of UIUC/NCSA) presented “Consequence-based decision making tools:  evidences of needs and initial activities of the mHARP Consortium” at the 2013 New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering meeting held in Wellington, New Zealand from April 26-28, 2013.  The talk and accompanying paper of the same title provide an introduction to the ERGO (then mHARP) Consortium and its aim of establishing a multinational collaboration to develop and make available consequence-based decision-making tools for use by researchers, planners, and decision-makers involved in natural hazard risk mitigation.
